Turkic International Mathematics Olympiad
The Turkey International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO), held annually since 2019, aims to unite young people from diverse cultures through a shared passion for mathematics. It fosters intellectual growth, cultural exchange, and the development of problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Additionally, TIMO is committed to educational excellence and global cooperation, TIMO also partners with leading universities to support students’ academic success and smooth transition into higher education. Through these efforts, TIMO continues to promote global educational advancement and positively impact the lives of young learners.

Rules and Regulations
Please ensure you carefully follow all exam rules and regulations:
- The Turkey International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO), is an international competition open to students from Grades 3 to 12.
- The Olympiad consists of two rounds: the Preliminary Round and the Global Round.
- Students may register (privately) online via website or get registered through their schools.
- All registered participants will take a qualifying exam for the Preliminary Round online/paper-based.
- The examination process is divided into two rounds. 1) Preliminary Round 2) Global Final Round:

Competition Format
Turkic International Mathematics Olympiad
The Turkic International Mathematical Olympiad is a two-stage competition that identifies and evaluates mathematical talents on a global scale. The preliminary round is organized within each participating school, where students face the initial challenge and compete for a place in the final. The final round is held in a designated country each year, where all finalists gather to showcase their skills on an international level.

Preliminary Round: In this stage, students answer multiple-choice. The purpose of this round is to select the best students from each category for the final stage.

There will be 25 MCQs to be completed in 60 mins.

Students must take the exam based on their respective grades.

Global Final Round: Students who will achieve Gold, Silver and Bronze award will come together for the global final round. This round is a challenging phase where all finalists face more difficult and comprehensive questions. The final round tests the mathematical reasoning abilities, problem-solving skills, and creative approaches of the students.

Students must submit separate registration for the global final round by downloading the global final registration form from the website.

Awards
Below are the Award details for both the Preliminary and Global Rounds of the Turkic International Mathematics
Olympiad.
Preliminary
Round:
The preliminary round is the participants’ initial challenge, and awards are presented based on the results achieved in this round. The awards are represented:
- Gold Award
- Silver Award
- Bronze Award
- Participation Certificate
corresponding to the performance shown by the students in the competition. These awards indicate the level of success achieved by the students in each category. In addition, certificates are provided for all participants, recognizing their participation in this stage.
Global
Round
In the global final round, awards are determined based on the total points accumulated by participants in each grade level:
For each category:
- Top 8% will receive a Gold medal.
- Top 15% will receive a Silver medal.
- Top 30% will receive a Bronze medal.
- The remaining up to 50% of participants will receive an Honorable Mention Certificate.
